To be eligible to participate in this exchange program, French students need to:

How to prepare your application file:
Some advice and warning: Getting your whole application file ready is a long process as you will need to translate your diplomas and academic transcripts into English. You also need time to carefully write your statement of purpose and browse as many North American partner university websites as possible so you can determine the best three campuses to suit your need. This takes time if you want your stay abroad to be truly successful.
For the TOEFL test, go to their website for information: http://www.ets.org/toefl/. For the IELTS test, the webpage is: http://www.ielts.org/.
Schedule a date as soon as possible since you may have to wait a while before obtaining an appointment for your test. Sometimes, students have to go to London or Brussels to take the TOEFL test, be prepared. You can also register for preparatory classes at your home institution. If there aren’t any, you may find books designed to help you prepare for the test. There are also private institutions but they are often very expensive.
In SHORT, prepare CAREFULLY to avoid any last-minute stress or panic!
Right in the middle of your Fall semester, you realize that you will benefit even more if you stay one more semester (Spring). This possibility is not open to Year students.
Please, contact the MICEFA office immediately who will get in contact with your home and host campuses to discuss the possibility. If approval is gained from your home and host campuses, you will be required to provide letters of good academic standing from three of your current professors (host campus) to the MICEFA academic director. Once these requirements have been met, the academic director will final approval and MICEFA will proceed with extending your stay abroad.
It will be the student’s responsibility to have a new learning agreement approved by their academic advisor, to extend their insurance and to take care of any other additional administrative procedures required to prolong their stay.
