About the University…
Founded in 1875, Catholic University of Paris is ruled by catholic and laic principles. The University is a not-for-profit organization open to any holder of the required diplomas. It comprises 21 organizations: 6 faculties, 4 specialized institutes, 11 graduate schools, and 1 doctoral school with 20 research centers along with the Catholic University of Paris Seminary, which prepares its seminarians for ordination and priesthood.
Over 40 departments for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral studies, 12,000 full-time and part-time students, 6,000 students in the competitive entry higher Institutes and 4 500 international students.

The Catholic University of Paris gathers 6 faculties : the faculty of theology, faculty of philosophy, faculty of canon law, faculty of humanities -literature, foreign languages (English, German, and Spanish) history and art history-, the faculty of social and economic science, the faculty of education preparing students to teaching and training.
