About the University…
This University was the last one to be created in 1991. It is located in a “ville nouvelle” which is dynamic and constantly evolving. It is famous for its vocational training devoted to biotechnology. Today, the university counts more than 10 000 students (data from April 2008) in both initial and ongoing training.
The university works with one main partner, Genopole, which encourages the development of research in genomics, post-genomics and related sciences and technology. Genopole also organizes transfer to industry, develops high level courses in special fields, creates and supports biotechnology companies.

A good level of French is required for students who wish to take classes with francophone students.
For non speaking french students, Evry Val d’Essonne University offers three university degrees allowing to acquire cultural, linguistic and methodological skills, necessary to succeed in academic studies in France. But all courses are fee paying.
