California State University, Fullerton (also known as CSUF) is a public university located in Fullerton, California. It is the largest institution in the CSU System by enrollment, it offers long-distance education and adult-degree programs.

CSUF’s athletic teams compete in Division I of the NCAA and are known as the Cal State Fullerton Titans.
CSUF is designated both as a Hispanic-serving institution and an Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution. The university is nationally accredited in art, athletic training, business, chemistry, communications, communicative disorders, computer science, dance, engineering, music, nursing, public administration, public health, social work, teacher education and theater.
Fullerton is a city located in northern Orange County, California. As of the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 135,161. It is approximately 25 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles and lies approximately 11 miles northeast of the Pacific Ocean. It has a Mediterranean climate, with a mean temperature of 62.2 degrees Fahrenheit (16.8 °C).
Fullerton is home to a vibrant music scene. It was a center for the Orange County hardcore punk music scene, producing acts such as The Offspring, The Adolescents, Agent Orange, Social Distortion, D.I., and the “fathers of hardcore punk,” The Middle Class. Gwen Stefani, lead vocalist of the alternative rock group No Doubt, was a student at CSUF and the group performed there regularly.
Fullerton is home musems such as The Fullerton Museum Center, which is a multidisciplinary exhibit space housed in the old Carnegie Library downtown, and the Muckenthaler Cultural Center which includes art galleries and a theater group.
Fullerton maintains more than 50 city parks and is home to Hillcrest Park, the Craig Regional Park and Ralph B. Clark Regional Park. The Fullerton Arboretum comprises 26 acres of sculpted gardens and unusual plants in northeastern Fullerton. Additionally the city features approximately 200 acres of recreational land in the Brea Dam Recreational Area, plus an equestrian center and trails, two golf courses, a tennis center located behind St. Jude Hospital and the Janet Evans swim Complex.
