Established in 1937, Queens College, located in Flushing, New York (17 miles from Manhattan) is one of the oldest colleges of the City University of New York system. Queens College has a solid reputation for its liberal arts, sciences and pre-professional programs and as such has earned rankings in prestigious colleges guides such as the Princeton Review and U.S. News and World Reports. Often referred to as the “jewel of the CUNY system”, this 77-acre campus, located off Kissena Boulevard, is on one of the highest points in the borough of Queens and offers a beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline.
Queens College has over 20,000 students (including nearly 5,000 graduate students) and is located in one of the most ethnically, racially and culturally rich areas in the nation; this diversity is mirrored in its student body. Academic Programs are organized into four divisions: Arts and Humanities, Education, Mathematics and Natural Sciences and Social Sciences. The college awards undergraduate and graduate degrees in over 100 ares of study with its most popular being in the areas of Social Sciences, Business/Marketing and Psychology.
