If you are interested in housing, apply upon application! San Francisco -- and the entire Bay Area -- is considered one of the most desirable areas in the country, therefore rents are high and vacancies are low. With such a high demand, spaces both on and off campus fill quickly. Students wishing to live on campus should check out SF State's housing options
and are strongly encouraged to request on-campus housing upon application. That said, on-campus housing is on a first-come, first-served basis and SF State Universitiy does not guarantee housing to newly admitted students so exchange students should be ready to live on- or off-campus.
Exchange students are required to have International Health Insurance that meets all the university requirements. Student should contact the host campus to find out if their international health insurance is accepted.
