The University of Paris XIII is 25 years old. Its 22 000 students are spread over three campuses: Villetaneuse, Saint-Denis and Bobigny.

Four UFR (Teaching and Research Units provide courses oriented toward the social sciences and humanities (Law, Political and Social Sciences, Economics and Business Management, Literature, the Science of Man and his Societies, Communications).

The Galilee Institute gives scientific training and offers degrees in engineering. The Institutes of Technology at Villetaneuse and at Saint-Denis offer a two-year university degree in technology (DUT) - Computer Sciences; Careers in Law and the Judiciary; Business Management and Administration; Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computer Systems; Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Measurements in Physics, Hygiene and Safety, Marketing Techniques.

The School of Health, Medicine and Human Biology is at Bobigny.

Three Professional Training Institutes (IUP) give professional degrees in Economics, Communications, Health and Management.
