Paris Exchange Program

Study abroad with MICEFA for one or two semesters!

Receive financial aid abroad

Students pay their tuition directly to their home university so you are eligible for your financial aid while abroad.

Students do not pay any tuition to the French university they attend.

3-week intensive language course

During orientation all students participate in a 3-week intensive language course adapted to your level in French.  This course is taught by MICEFA professors and helps to prepare you for university in France.

1-on-1

academic advising

Before arriving via Skype and throughout the program, students are given 1-on-1 academic advising with MICEFA staff to help them choose the best university for their academic needs.  Tutoring is also available throughout the program.

MICEFA classes each semester

In-house classes taught by MICEFA professors in literature, art history, gender studies, international studies, business, and more.  Courses are offered in French and English.

Assistance with Visa paperwork

All students participating in the program will need to get a visa to study in France.  MICEFA delivers the necessary materials to obtain the visa and helps students to validate and renew their visa once in France.

Help getting settled

Program staff helps students to get settled, including setting up a bank account, getting a phone, choosing housing, getting health care, finding a job and enrolling in French university.  Students are provided temporary housing for their arrival in France.

24/7 Emergency Phone

MICEFA has a 24/7 emergency phone that students may call in case of need.  Students are also proposed counseling services and confidential aid in times of need.

Direct enrollement in a French University

Students are guaranteed acceptance at the French university that they choose from the 15 member universities of MICEFA.  No headache with applications and decisions!

I'm so glad I decided to study abroad in Paris with the MICEFA organization! I feel like my French is improving everyday as I live in this city that I call home. I'm seriously enjoying my classes at Paris 8 because of the opportunity to meet other exchange students! The culture here is very different than back home, but I'm enjoying every minute of it. From the fresh croissants to the taste of wine by the Seine, who wouldn't want to live in the city of lights?
