Health insurance is required of all full-time degree, resident, and international students with F1 and J1 visas.
All NSU international students will be automatically enrolled each semester for health insurance coverage, which meets minimum criteria as set forth below, through Norfolk University’s insurance provider. Students will be enrolled for both accident and optional sickness benefits.
The premiums for both accident and sickness benefits will be automatically added to each student’s account prior to the start of each semester.

Students may choose instead to subscribe to a different insurance plan should it be approved. Students must request approval by submitting an Insurance Waiver Form.
Living on-campus: On-campus housing is available on first-come first-served basis for undergraduate students. If you are interested in living on-campus, please visit the housing webpage. You must make arrangements for housing prior to arriving in the United States. First-time students are encouraged to live on campus. Complete the On-Campus Housing Application or Spartan Suites Application and submit the $300 housing deposit before the deadline or you will not be guaranteed a room.
Cost: $3,663.00 – $6,210.00 per semester*

Students on exchange have their tuition waived but are required to pay campus fees of $1935.00.

In order to be accepted, students must prove financial resources of $7,500.00 per semester.
