MICEFA Intensive Session
Intensive French Language Session
This semester we have organized an exciting, intensive language program for our incoming students. This program is mandatory for all undergraduate students.
It is a three-week intensive language program including 30 hours of courses, cultural adaptation sessions, group activities, outings, campus visits and academic advising.
This program will cost 400€. Deadline for payment is December 1st, 2023.
NB: Many of our North American partners accept 3 credit hours for this course, but please verify with your study abroad office. Please note that some of our North American Partners include this program fee in your tuition bill, for those of you who pay MICEFA directly, you will receive a PayPal bill in the coming weeks.
A general orientation meeting will be held on Thursday, January 4th, 2024 in the morning. We will communicate the exact location and time in the summer prior to arrival. Our orientation will provide important information about MICEFA, housing, cultural adaptation as well as practical matters such as banking, public transportation, the titre de séjour, student restaurants, etc.
The Intensive Program activities will be provided as well at orientation.
The Intensive Session runs from January 4th, 2024- January 25th, 2024. The Intensive French Courses will meet daily (Monday-Friday and some Saturdays). Please note that some activities will be held on weekends!
Multiple options for housing exist with MICEFA : Host families, demi au pair, student residences and a listing of nearly 150 landlords offering a wide variety of offers (studio, apartments, maid’s room all over Paris). For more information about housing options, please visit our Housing Page.
Some options are available if you want to have your housing arranged before arrival (host families, demi au pair, student residences). Bear in mind spots may be limited.
If you would like to discover Paris, and visit your future campus, choose the location adapted to you, you can also choose to look for your housing with our housing coordinator onsite and use the listing. The housing search should not be seen as an ordeal, but rather as part of the process of exploring and getting to know Paris and its excellent transportation system. The city has many different neighborhoods, options and prices. Given the excellent transportation system, it doesn’t take more than half an hour to get to most places in Paris.
Please note, although it can be very useful to start your research before arrival, we do NOT recommend you rent an apartment unseen from a stranger.
If you have any questions about housing please send us an email via our contact page.
