Choosing Your University
As a MICEFA student, you are automatically accepted at any of our 18 member universities for your exchange program. You will be advised by the Academic Director and the Student Affairs Coordinator you who will help you choose one university to attend per semester (you may change universities at the end of the semester if you stay for the full academic year). At this university you may select classes in any department including FLE (Français Langue Etrangère). See courses offered at our member universities in our Undergraduate Fields of Study.
Each university has its own sign up dates which will be communicated to the student by the MICEFA Student Affairs Coordinator.
MICEFA offers in-house classes in both French and English which are open only to students studying through the MICEFA program. Each student can sign up for a maximum of 2 MICEFA Courses during the first semester and 1 class the following semester. Click here for a listing of this year’s MICEFA Courses.
Housing will be your first priority upon arriving in France. We highly recommend the short-term housing option, which enables students to get a sense of Paris before jumping into a living arrangement. This time also allows students to get to know each other and form lasting friendships before they are scattered throughout Paris.
Temporary housing will be reserved in Paris from Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024 to Saturday, January 13th, 2024 (10 nights); you will check out on the morning of January 13th, 2024 (9:00AM).
If you would like to reserve a spot in the temporary housing, please confirm your spot by email by sending a message to info@micefa.org. Once we have received your confirmation we will send you the instructions on how to pay for temporary housing.
Payments deadline will be announced soon. This is billed at cost breakfast included: TBC (usually around 450€)

Earning University Credit
MICEFA edits and send your official transcripts in English and converted to the American/Canadian grading system to your home university (please see our conversion guide). All of your classes, including your French intensive course, courses taken at your host University and any MICEFA courses are grouped together onto the same transcript. If you need to request additional transcripts to send with future applications, you may request them via the Alumni page.
