Chambord is one of the most recognisable châteaux in the world because of its very distinctive French Renaissance architecture, which blends traditional French medieval forms with classical Renaissance structures. The building was constructed by the king of France, Francis I to serve as a hunting lodge for Francis I.
After the visit to the chateau, we will go to a family vineyard specializing in regional wines: Plou & Fils. This vineyard has been in the same family since its beginnings in 1508! You will be shown the caves and bottling factory and will be invited to taste many different wines.
